THE PROBLEM
Many people who experience complex trauma and extremely stressful events are diagnosed with autoimmunity, endocrine diseases, and mental health illnesses. They also are often exposed to or their lifestyles result in indigence.
Mainstream healthcare services prescribe medications for disease management, but neglect to focus on root cause, write referrals to medical nutrition therapy, or provide body-mind-spirit resources to aid in disease management, lifestyle recovery, and reduce food insecurities.
Many of these individuals seek these services and believe they should have access to integrative forms of healthcare. However, most insurance companies do not cover such services, which leaves this population unable to receive such services.
True Paleo Inc. provides Discover Your Greatest Self programs to help facilitate pro bono services such as medical nutrition therapy, lifestyle recovery, and food insecurity to indigent residents of the Tampa Bay area who have no other resources for their health care needs.
