What is Spontaneous Remission? The Thyroid-Body-Mind Connection
What is Spontaneous Remission?
Spontaneous remission is referred to as spontaneous healing, the sudden healing of a diseased part of the body for unexpected reasons. . People explain it as a cure that comes without warning and they say this is due to a connection between the body and mind. . Evidence-based studies would describe this phenomenon as a sudden 'complete, temporary, or partial' reversal of a disease state. . Also scientifically, spontaneous remission can be defined as healing without medicine or with the administration of an unsuccessful medication. . Spontaneous remission can happen for different reasons, but one reason could be that it can be a cause of mind over matter or the state of perceiving wellness from a metaphysical viewpoint. .
What does Metaphysical mean?
Metaphysics is a branch of philosophy that dates back to beginning our existence. . It was one of the first ways of looking at philosophy before the modern world and it means to think from your perspective or viewing your life from your own reality. . In connection, we can only assume that spontaneous remission is due to these strong feelings of seeing oneself in a state of healing. The process is explained as occurring through a perfect connection of the human body dimensions (3rd and 4th dimensions) to the divine or spiritual dimension (5th dimension).
The human body has 5 imprints (bodies) within the human body dimensions. The bodies can be identified as astral dimensions are physical, emotional, and mental. Through the concept of metaphysics, energy, and astral planes we can access these dimensions and strengthen their connections with each other. Once strengthened, the metaphysical view of reality becomes free from outside influences that affect the relationship between the way we view mind and matter. .
Connecting Disease to the Metaphysical Perspectives
The state of disease can be connected through the Physical body (lower physical dimension). . We as humans feel disease and the effects of the disease process within our bodies and cells. . When we feel this we re considered to be in the Etheric body (physical trauma and upper physical dimension). .
The physical dimension and emotional dimension connect because pain or touch can influence how we feel emotionally. . This is considered to be the Astral body (lower emotional dimension). . The astral body connects to the Emotional body (upper emotional dimension). .
The emotional dimension and mental dimension connect by how we shape our mental thoughts. . This is considered being the Mental body (mental dimension). . However, if one can master thought, they can connect with the Casual body (spiritual dimension or 5th dimension) and this can lead to unity with the divine energy. [2;7].
Unity with the universe or with divine energy is known as being one or transcendent. A person is able to control matter with the mind and the reality of their life is in their control (metaphysically). . People do this through ways of practicing yoga and balancing the energy centers within them. . A number of physical parts of the human body can be connected to energy centers such as spinal cord points and endocrine glands. . Through practices of nutritious and clean eating, along with yoga, and chakra balancing one is said to achieve spontaneous remission.
The 5th Chakra
Chakras are the energy center points of the human body. When balanced properly they are what connect the physical foremost dimensions to the divine spiritual dimension. The 5th chakra controls communication in both listening and speaking. . This chakra enables growth within the body through the expression of the self and to others. . Identified as the Throat chakra, the 5th chakra's color represents pale blue energy of the color spectrum and frequency wavelength. This chakra has a significant role in dream control. This can be accomplished through yoga practices. Lucid dreaming is also a significant predictor of either 5th chakra imbalance or successful balance. .
Other chakras are:
The 5th Chakra and the Endocrine System
Williams is a nurse who touches base on metaphysical considerations in a research article that focuses on holistic medicine. . He also makes it appoint how a certain endocrine disease state (thyroid) and chakra systems are metaphysically related. .
In the endocrine system, the 5th chakra represents the thyroid gland. . The thyroid hormone regulates growth and maturity by producing thyroid hormone . When this chakra is imbalanced chakra often has problems with expression, thyroid, hearing problems, lying, gums or teeth issues, shoulders and neck problems, lack of purpose, overly talkative or expressive of opinions or points and under attentive to listening to others, and fear of speaking.
In the musculoskeletal system, the 5th chakra is said to connect with points C3 -C8 of the spinal cord of the central nervous system (CNS).
The 5th chakra connects the physical body via communication to the emotional body. . The emotional body connects to the mental body by feeling a sense of independence. . The emotional body connects to the mental body via fluid thought. . The mental body opens up the spiritual body to produce a spiritual sense of security. .
Williams reports that he and two other practitioners that are reviewed in the literature have observed and documented positive results with remission in thyroid disorders with holistic practices. .
How do Endocrine Diseases Align with Chakras?
Many endocrine diseases align with chakras through the chakra centers.. As explained in the above paragraphs the chakras are numbered. Each number relates to a part of the endocrine system. .
Testes and connection to Adrenal Medulla
Reproductive system and connection to Adrenal Cortex
Pituitary and connection to Hypothalamus
Metabolic and Immunity disorders of the endocrine system rank highest at 39% when considering the distribution of endocrine diseases on charts. . Other endocrine diseases rank in this order Diabetes at 19.7%, Thyroid at 12.1%, Pituitary at 9.1%, Cushing at 15.1%, Zollinger-Ellison Syndrome at 4.5%. .
Diabetes and Zollinger-Ellison Syndrome would be 24.2% Solar Plexus chakra
Thyroid would be 12.1% Throat chakra
Pituitary would be 9.1% Crown chakra
Cushing could be 15.1% in either Root, Sacral or Solar Plexus
How the Thyroid Relates to Chakra Dysfunction
In the article Williams wrote, he tries to connect the major 7 chakras to different disease states in the body. Specifically, he goes into detail in this article about how thyroid disorders sit in the same place as the 5th chakra. . A way he does this is by describing how we stress the throat chakra by the inability to self express the truth about how we feel when it comes to decision making and freedom of choice. . Kind of makes sense to everything reported in the above paragraphs.
Interestingly, the author reviews an additional practitioner who works with metaphysical levels of the disease manifestation. . Williams also touches base on how this practitioner describes clients that have thyroid conditions are often victims, they have feelings of powerlessness, or they often feel they need empowerment. . This practitioner also dives deep into mental wellness by looking into spiritual, emotional, and mental disparities through new thought pattern techniques.
The dysfunction of the 5th chakra, for example, is said to be disrupted because a person cannot speak or express their whole truths. . They fear being themselves, possibly fear rejection, or do not know how to express what they feel when appropriate. This person will struggle to align the heart with the third-eye of the mind. . What we really feel in the heart is not what we really say or do and the intuitive mechanism can make it hard to make decisions. . Sometimes a person will speak the truth harshly. A 5th chakra dysfunction an order thyroid can happen when we hold in feelings. A person can refuse to listen when necessary, overexpress at the wrong times, or say what they think people want to hear to make them happy.
Most times, not all, a person with the 5th chakra out of balance or thyroid disease will have a problem with addiction. . This is because they are trying to align the power of the chakras. . Without the heart in balance with the head to combine their powers, the will power of the solar plexus has no leader to follow. .
Spontaneous Remission in Thyroid Patients
Spontaneous remission has occurred in patients with many diseases. Fortunately, there is clinical evidence that can prove this. In chapter 12 of Spontaneous Remission: An Annotated Bibliography, they list 22 cases of logged successful remission of endocrine diseases. . Also, one particular case states that a woman on medication with thyroid disease was unsuccessful until the implementation of Kundalini yoga and nutritional lifestyle changes. . There is scientific proof that we can heal ourselves. . If we can change the reality of what we feel by using the energy within us to strengthen our chakra and eat nutritious foods, we can induce spontaneous remission.
